1st Hobart Brick Expo

The 1st Hobart Brick Expo was a LEGO display in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia organised by the TAZ-Brick Collectors Club.

Below are some photos of the event taken by Jawa Pro.

On the Saturday there was 500 visitors, on the Sunday there was 1000!
Check out some time-lapse footage of the event. (1 picture per minute.)

Sure enough, shortly after it made the local newspaper!

  1. In a bid to attract the younger community of LEGO enthusiasts to display at Brixhibition 2012 it has been decided that the Friday the 14th of September time slot of 10.00am to 5.00pm will be specifically catering for boy and girls as after all the event is aimed at attracting kids to come along and see what can be built and created from the famous bricks from this part of Australia and the world !!!

  2. First of all, the above dates are incorrect however it is getting closer and closer to the second annual Brixhibition and with that I can happily report that everything is starting to fall in place

As stated we have secured a bigger venue being the Moonah Arts Centre and can inform everybody that these dates of the 14th, 15th and 16th of September are correct so I guess all we need to do now is get a few more talented brick enthusiasts big and small behind it to make it an event to remember.

After all this an opportunity to celebrate fifty years of the brick in Australia in our own special Tassie Devilish way !!!

  3. The TAZ-Brick Collectors Club are happy to announce that a new name for the annual event has been chosen being Brixhibition.
Brixhibition 2012 is set to be bigger than ever with the dates set as a three day event which starts on Friday the 16th and runs throughout the weekend of the 17th and 18th of September.
The venue is bigger too with the Lions Club of Glenorchy (City) working hard to ensure that the Moonah Arts Centre could proudly host the very popular event.
    See you there !!!
